Making sushi at home can be fun as well as money saving and healthy. The high amounts of protein in sushi as well as the healthy seaweed, rice, and veggies are a great way to promote healthy weight loss. Philadelphia sushi rolls got their name because of the Philadelphia cream cheese used in the sushi.

Health benefits of eating salmon are the high levels of protein as well as omega-3 fatty acids. Salmon is also really low in calories. Seaweed is known to be one of the healthiest foods to eat and is said promote youth, beautiful hair, and help you live a long healthy life.

In this homemade recipe you will need:

Cream cheese

One cumber

Smoked or grilled salmon

Seaweed wraps

Sticky rice (sushi rice)

The first thing you need to do is lay the seaweed wrap flat on a clean surface, the seaweed squares should be approximately five to ten inch squares. Then in the middle make a thin line of cream cheese on the wrap. Then evenly spread the sticky rice along the seaweed. The prepared salmon should be cut or shredded in small bits. The cucumber should be skinned and cut into small skinny pieces. Place both the salmon and cucumber down the middle of the seaweed wrap in a line.

After you have made your sushi then take one end of the seaweed and wrap it firmly around the salmon and cucumber in the middle, careful not to squeeze it out the ends, then finish rolling the piece to the other end and you now have your homemade Philly hand roll!

Now you have your sushi hand roll to eat as you want, suggested dipping would be soy sauce with a small amount of wasabi mixed into it, and taking bites of ginger in between sushi bites is great as well.
