How to Make a Homemade Pizza Gift Basket

Holidays and birthdays are always happening year round. It is a fun time for anyone. There are many items that you can give as gifts, but a homemade gift is very special. Gift baskets are an exciting and easy thing that you can make for your loved ones and friends. They are very inexpensive to make, but show that you took the time to think and make them an exciting gift. It is so much fun to unwrap a gift basket and see what treasures it might hold.

A great gift basket for a family is a pizza gift basket. You can easily make this with a few items. You will need a basket that is large enough to hold all of the items that you are placing in it. You could use a pizza pan instead of a basket for more style. You will need to buy a pizza dough mix or you could provide a premade pizza crust. You can purchase these easily at your local grocery store or Wal-Mart supercenter. You will need to purchase a jar of Pizza sauce or marinara. You will need to buy pepperoni or Canadian bacon also. You can purchase shredded mozzarella cheese too. I would also purchase a bell pepper, red onion, a can of black olives, and a can of chopped mushrooms. This will give the person a wide selection to make the pizza with. There are a few other items that you can include too. These include a pizza cutter, oven mitt, and maybe even an apron. These will make the gift even more special.

Once you have purchased all of your items you will need to assemble the gift basket. IF you are using a pizza pan as the base you will just put it on the table. You will then place the premade pizza crust on the pan. On top of that you will start arranging the heavier items such as the canned foods. You will then place the onion and bell pepper. You can then stand the cheese up and place the pepperoni or Canadian bacon around the other items. All of these items can be refrigerated, so they can put this gift into the fridge until they can break into it. You can then either wrap the whole pan with plastic wrap, or you could even tie the apron around the basket. You can even tie the oven mitt and pizza cutter to the outside as decoration.

This is just one fun and creative way to show the gift receiver that you love them. Always remember to just be creative.
