Learning how to make a homemade scrapbook or photo album is easy and inexpensive. Making a homemade scrapbook or photo album is a great way to remember and commemorate the special times in your life. This craft is easy and inexpensive, and kids will love it.

You can make a homemade scrapbook or photo album using scrapbook paper, a hole puncher, wrapping paper, a pencil, cardboard, glue, scissors and ribbon. You can also use brown paper bags or paint to cover the cardboard outside of your homemade scrapbook or photo album.

Start by assembling the scrapbook paper in a neat stack. Lay the cardboard over the paper and trace the edges. Cut the cardboard so you have at least half an inch extra cardboard on the top, bottom, and right side. Lay the cut piece of cardboard on top of another piece of cardboard and cut the second piece to match the first. This will be the front and back cover of your homemade scrapbook or photo album.

Wrap each piece of cardboard with the wrapping paper and glue it in place to secure it. The folded creases should all be glued on one side of the cardboard. Next place piece of scrapbook paper over the creased side of the cardboard pieces and glue it in the center. Allow these pieces to dry thoroughly.

Use the hole puncher to punch two holes in the left side of the stack of scrapbook paper that will be the pages of the homemade garden scrapbook. Make sure all of the holes line up. The holes should be spaced at least 4 inches apart.

When the cardboard has dried place a hole punched sheet of scrapbook paper on top of it and use the pencil to trace the holes. Repeat this process on the other piece of cardboard and punch holes in both pieces. Place the bottom cover on a flat surface with the creased side up. Place the scrapbook pages on top of the cardboard. Place the front cover on top with the creases on the inside.

Cut a long piece of ribbon and thread it through the holes so the ends are in the front. Tie the ribbon into a tight bow to secure the scrapbook pages in place.

This homemade scrapbook or photo album can be personalized any way you like. Pages can be taken out, added, or rearranged by simply untying the ribbon. This homemade photo album is a great way to remember and be crafty.
