How Honey Can Extend and Improve the Quality of Your Life Naturally

The Natural Miracle to Increase Longevity and Make You Healthy

Many people consume honey as a sweetener in their teas, sweets and baked products but many persons do not know that honey is an invaluable tool in keeping you healthy, and may just be the miracle pill to that everyone is looking for. Honey is a very good antimicrobial substance (i.e. it effectively kills microorganisms) due to its lowering of the available water to microorganisms in the immediate environment. The microorganisms cannot function without water available for their metabolism and die, honey destroys bacteria and inhibits their growth better than even the most powerful antibiotics and bacteriostatic agents.

Honey helps to keep you healthy in many specific ways:

Honey is chock full of antioxidants, phenols and flavonoids which help to fight cancer and removes destructive free radicals from the body that may react with cells, tissues and organs, causing a host of health problems. The honey helps to reduce oxidation in meat, the oxidation reaction which comes about when the meat reacts with oxygen in the air. Meats should be coated with a layer of money for maximum protection against the formation of free radicals.

Honey can help to overcome ulcers since studies have shown that the bacteria called Helicobacter pylori causes approximately 90% of all ulcers. Since honey is such an effective antimicrobial agent, it can be used to destroy these microbes to protect you from this horrible condition. The honey should be consumed before meals and before bed. The honey could also be spread onto food to keep it in the stomach longer, the honey can form a protective coating in the stomach which can protect it against irritants such as alcohol.

When they can also protect you against allergens since the pollen laced honey does not yield an immune response when consumed through the mouth. The body then recognises the pollen and the immune system develops a resistance which helps to protect the person from an immune reaction when exposed to the pollen later, this is the theory of Dr. T. Rajan on the University of Connecticut Health Centre.

Honey can help to soothe an upset stomach by coating the walls of the stomach and provide quick relief similar to many expensive prescription and over the counter medications.

Honey can perform a similar function to medicines such as Neosporin by helping to heal cuts and scrapes quickly and easily. The honey protects the wound from the external environment, this helps to make the skin regrow faster and helps o destroy any bacteria in, on or around the cut area, preventing their entry and potential pathogenic effects.
