So you want to host a go green party? Well, then you're going to want it to be completely awesome so that you can convince some of your pals to go green then right? Here's some tips on how to host the best go green party that will be fun, eco-friendly, and persuade your guests to become eco-friendly too.
  1. Invitations. The first thing to do when you're going to host a party is to send out invitation. Send out invitations on organic paper to kick off the organic theme from the start. You can be creative with the decorative style. Earth tone colors and images of plants, trees, and veggies would all make great stationary for a go green party.
  2. Food. Serve only organic and natural foods. No preservatives or other unnatural fibers. You can purchase organic food from several grocery stores such as Publix and Winn Dixie. Plus, there are lots of purely organic supermarkets. Check your local listings if you don't already know where they're at. If you're going to have drinks at your party, you can even serve them organic as well. You don't only have to drink water, though. There are plenty of organic wines and other drinks out there.
  3. Decorations. Once I again, I would suggest earth tones. Use an environmental theme of greens, browns, yellows, etc. And again, be eco-friendly with your decorations. If you use streamers, use organic paper. And scattering live plants and flowers throughout your setting would really complement your theme as well.
  4. Party favors. A great party favor would be to give every guest a complimentary planting pot and some organic seeds. That way you're encouraging them to begin growing their own organic food. Or you could give them any variety of eco-friendly products-organic stationary, organic beauty products, etc. Your options are limitless.
  5. Learning activity. If you choose to give your guest organic seeds, then you could tie that in with your learning activity. You can teach them to correct and eco-friendly way to care for their plants. Teach them which organic plant food produces the best results and get them started on planting their seeds. That way you're teaching them some hands-on learning that maybe they'll get into.

Those are five tips of how to get started planning how to host your go green party. Just have fun with it and think green. Your possibilities are endless.
