How I'll Recover from the Recession in 2011

L J Pearce
From personal experience 2010 was a good but tough year for business. There were so many ups and downs it was like riding a roller coaster. 2011 though is going to be different. Even though we are in a recession, it doesn't mean you nor I can't take on new projects, start new businesses or even save more money. Like with most things its all about your way of thinking.

In 2011 I am going to alter how I invest. I am very cautious and careful when it comes to investing, but I have realized that without the risk element, how could you possibly stand to benefit!

Benefiting from the down economy is what I plan to do. Just because there is less money out there, doesn't mean I cannot increase my personal wealth and personal finances, all I have to do is become a better, wiser investor.

Recovering from a recession is by no means easy but it is possible as there are so many opportunities out there just waiting to be taken up, I plan to no longer be a bystander. I am going to get back into the game and start my own small business, as I feel the time is right. I am not sure whether I will start a home based business, or an office based business but I will definitely start one. The way I think is that people within any economy still have to spend money, they just spend it in a different way. So to ensure I have a successful business that focus on this.

To improve my financial standing in 2011 I am going to definitely seize more opportunities as well as look for hidden opportunities that I might normally overlook or miss. I am going to take more time out of my already busy day to check on my personal finances, to see how I can increase the interest I receive or the returns on my investments.

Like with anything I am not expecting a quick fix but I am definitely going to recover from the recession because I want to. I will plan every move I make both in my professional and personal life. I will make the most out of every opportunity given to me. To ensure I leave the recession behind in 2011 I will create and maintain a lifestyle budget, so I can cut back on unnecessary expenses, and I will definitely look at ways to increase my income. To keep me going I will remember that just because the whole country or world is in recession doesn't mean I have to be!
