Step 1. Download and install Image Search Pro Mobile. Just visit the Apple App Store to download the app. Once you have finished downloading and installing the program, tap on the icon to launch it. When the app opens, you will be able to enter your search specifications on the main screen. You can specify the color, size, media type and apply other filters.
Step 2. Select the "Colorization" of your choice. You can tell it to search for "Any colors," "Black," or "Greyscale." Not the most advanced filter in the world, certainly another helpful tool this app offers.
Step 3. Select the size of the image you desire. Bear in mind, you are using a small mobile device, so you are limited to the parameters of the iPhone or iPod touch. Basically what this means is that small, medium, and large will be scaled proportionately to the screen resolution of the device. So in other words, you're not going to find gigantic images. If you really need to find very large pictures, you should just conduct the search on your computer.
Step 4. Use "Image Type" to narrow down your search even more. So if you are looking for pics to use on, say, a website only, you can specify that you only want to find GIF and PNG images. Whatever type it may be that you need, this is a very handy feature.
Step 5. Select the specific kind of picture you're looking for. For example, you can refine your search to just "Photos" or "Images of Faces." I think the "Images of Faces" feature is a really cool filter, that is of course very useful when searching for pictures of people and celebrities.
Step 6. Enter your keyword into the search bar and then tap on the search button. Use quotation marks around your search phrase to only find images tagged with that exact phrase.
Step 7. Browse through the results. One really neat thing about Image Search Pro Mobile is that to see an image enlarged to full screen all you have to do is tap on the image. Once you tap on the picture, it will automatically expand it to full screen. There is also a little "I" icon in the bottom right corner of every image that you can tap on to see more info about that particular picture.
Step 8. If you find an image you want to save, simply tap on the "Return" button to visit the images website. Then you can choose to save the image to your iPhone or iPod. By default, the image will be saved to your "Saved Images" folder.
