This little trailer isn't just popular with those who live in the ghetto area of town it's located in; it's frequented by judges, police officers, attorneys, and many other people who wouldn't usually be caught dead buying food from a trailer that belongs to a family that are obviously illegal immigrants. But they do, and no one says anything about it, because they love this place enough to not do the "American" thing and turn this family in.
So why don't we all just treat illegal immigration this way? We can put up a ridiculous wall and send those back that are caught crossing the border, but if they're smart and stealthy enough to make it over, we should let them stay. They aren't hurting us the way that everyone is portraying. They stay out of trouble because they don't want to get deported; they take jobs that no one else wants (road work, deplorable factory work, which is something that needs to be changed, but that's a whole different story, housekeeping, construction, etc.); and most are very family-oriented, moral people- more so than any real American. It really isn't fair that these jobs don't pay them enough, but a lot of these families are probably doing a lot better here than they were in Mexico. Republicans should love the fact that they're here. Large corporations get cheap labor with no complaints. An illegal immigrant can't sue a corporation, because they'll be found out and deported. This is one condition that does need to be changed.
And if you really think about it, who are we to say illegal immigration is wrong? The first settlers slaughtered the real first Americans, Native Americans. They had the rights to this land, and our ancestors slaughtered them relentlessly and destroyed their way of life, so we could happily get on with ours. The way these immigrants are coming into the country isn't bloody and despicable, and they don't want to take our country away, they just want to be a part of it. We saw Native Americans as beasts to be slaughtered and disposed of; they see us as people who have the perfect lives. We should feel honored that they want to live here.
So if the government wants to do something, let them put up their puny wall and say that that's enough. We don't have to write a law. There should just be this unwritten rule: If they make it to the USA, turn your head and look away, because here they deserve to stay.

Post a CommentIn the meantime more people are becoming homeless because they can not find jobs and get turned down for jobs in construction, hospitality industry, office, factory and McDonald's fast food restaurants because they do not speak Spanish in the country they were born and raised in speaking English. Prior immigrants had it tough and no government aid when they got to these shores. Again they did not choose to relocate to Mexico, but the United States. They did not demand that the USA declare a National Language like the La Rasa's have demanded the US do, making it their language. The Mexican Mafia does not come to work~oh they work at killing people randomly to enforce payment of taxes to them for rival gangs to be left alone to sell drugs. Are their enough jobs for all? Not where I live, many homeless due to it. Is there enough clean water supplies to serve the people? Nope. The issue is complex, but stereotypes must go. Peace, not more war.
And the first Spanish slaughtered the first native what is now Mexico citizens as well as marching north with the help of the group of natives that joined them to do away with the people that used to kidnap them to use as human sacrifices for their gods, to attack peaceful native now US tribes. Every country in the world has been formed that way. The Romans marched north and slaughtered the Iberians and blah, blah. Today we have well defined countries and all, even Mexico and China have strict immigration laws. People from China that immigrate by bypassing the law, as well as those from, oh El Salvador, do not live in Mexico illegally, they come to the USA. Why is that? Because the USA treats them better than Mexico does if they are caught. I am all for a no border world and whole earth flag. Convince the rest of the world of that, and there will be no more 21 st century illegal immigration.
