Through the years, there are many simple and practical guidelines and suggestions on how one could take good care of the hair and avoid hair loss. However, not known to many people is the fact that several of such hair care regimens could work the opposite way and instead lead to excessive hair loss.
For instance, women have always been advised to constantly brush their hair to improve texture and manageability. But did you know that in the contrary, the practice is not doing any good to the hair? That is because through brushing, the hair is rubbed against the teeth of the brush.
That rubbing process put pressure to the hair, and at apparent times, lead to instant breakage and uprooting of hair strands. It is like pulling out your hair from your scalp, in a very subtle way.
Usual combing is also of no exception. To offset the activity's impact on hair health, it is important that you avoid combing your hair. There are hairstyles nowadays that look better if styled with bare hands and some styling aids. But if you cannot help it, use combs with wide-spaced teeth and smooth or round ends.
Styling and hair loss:
As a common notion, too tedious styling of the air could almost always lead to hair loss. For example, braiding of the hair could be a disaster for each strands of the hair because too much wear and tear is applied to them.
The use of tight rollers and pony tailing of the hair could also result to such adverse conditions. It would be better to let the hair loosen up, or hold it lightly using hairpins and rubbers. Wearing caps also lead to excessive hair loss because there is too much sweat and pressure.
As for the hair styling products, most sprays and creams contain chemicals that are detrimental to the hair's health. Before using such products, it would be better if you would seek expert's and dermatologist's advice to make sure the effort would not lead to hair loss.
Give the proper care due to your hair. You would be surprised how your hair does not require too much caring and styling. Just live a good and stress-free life and never mind your hair too much. It could mind itself, and in turn be more beautiful.
