If you ask any married couple, you will find out that no marriage is easy and requires a lot of effort. Whether you are a newlywed couple, or have been married for many years, working at your marriage will help keep you and your partner's relationship loving and joyful. Here are some tips to rekindle and improve any marriage.

1. Ask yourself and your partner if your marriage is everything that you had hoped it to be. Most likely if you both are being honest, it will lack at least a couple of things. Make a list with your partner and discuss them so you both are aware of each others' needs and wants and how to improve them.

2. Respect each other by making sure you do not keep things from each other. Make sure your partner knows about any major and most minor decisions that you are making. If they disagree, then listen to their reasons, and then come to a compromise before making any decisions. Consulting with each other beforehand creates a stronger trust with each other. Also try not to ever call each other any names, especially when a conflict occurs.

3. Be romantic whenever you can. Try to act like how you both were on your first date every time you both go out to dinner or an event. Some other suggestions are to go for nice strolls around the park or beach, cook a candlelight dinner, tell each other reasons why you love each other, and cozy up with each other when watching late night shows or reading books together.

4. Pamper each other. Take turns giving each other long massages with candles and soft music. Spoil each other with your attention and affection whenever you get the chance. Hugs and kisses are great, especially when they are unexpected.

5. Become each others' support system. Share any untold problems, fears, hopes, and dreams with each other. This will allow to create a stronger emotional bond with one another, and bring you both closer together.
