How to Improve Your Vision Naturally

Roger C.
We have become used to visual aid. Whether it is contact lenses or glasses, we are dependent on external optical enhancers to enjoy a good vision, to be able to read papers nearby when we are older or to be able to read the blackboard when we are at school. We often think it is impossible to improve our sight in a natural way, but this is wrong. In many cases you will still need glasses or contacts, but you can decrease your dependency on them by improving your eye health.

Some visual defects are caused only by bad habits like watching too much TV to close to the screen or even in some cases looking at the sun, but they can be corrected of even reversed if those habits are identified on time, eliminated, and replaced with good habits.

One thing you can do to eventually start improving or at least stop deteriorating your eyesight is to blink often. Staring is bad for your vision, and by not blinking your eyes stare suffering more strain and deteriorating your vision, so remember to blink every now and then.

Another technique you can use to avoid staring is to shift your gaze. Instead of turning your head and holding your eyes in a fixed position, try to see different things and parts of the objects without moving your head; just your eyes. Look from left to right and bottom to top. You will be exercising the muscles in your eyes and developing a healthier vision. One exercise you can do that will help you with this right away is to count small objects. Count the ants on the floor, the dots of a curtain or the leaves in a tree to develop your shifting abilities and improve your sight.

By exercising your focus you will improve your sight too. This can be achieved by constantly shifting between near and far objects. Look at an object near you, it can be your finger, and then shift your gaze to an object far away and the farther the better. Then you can try objects in middle range and making all the combinations you like. You can do this while reading too.

You need to breathe when you are doing these exercises; your eyes need oxygen to work properly so you must provide it by breathing deep and steady.

Blinking, shifting your gaze in all directions, looking at far and near objects, and counting little things are there good ways in which you can start developing a healthier vision. Remember and practice these tips regularly.
