The January 20th, 2009 is history in the making. Our fellow citizens have elected Barack Obama. He is to be the first black President in our history. The inauguration ceremony is held in Washington, D.C. This ceremony is for the president to take an oath.

Are you wishing to witness this historic event in person? This event is something to be a part of. Be aware of those trying to sell a ticket to this event. Why? Tickets for the ceremony are absolutely free. How can one come by a ticket? The Us Representative or your local senator will be able to help you. If they are not able to give you a ticket themselves, they will be able to help you in the right direction.

The ceremony isn't the only event to take on January 20th, the parade is something to see. The parade itself is free of charge and anyone is able to attend. Tickets for the swearing in ceremony will be a tough one to score. But do not loose out hope just yet. You may get lucky and will be able to see the ceremony first hand.

Are you one of the lucky ones who has a ticket but needs a place to stay while in town? You are in luck once again. This article will give you four hotel options.

Hotel #1: The Beacon hotel is four blocks from the White house. The features of this hotel are one of a kind. Most of the hotel is in the contemporary style. The Beacon hotel is a beautiful place to relax and to enjoy yourself.

Hotel #2: The Capital Skyline hotel is five blocks away from the capital itself. The Capital Skyline is just as beautiful as the Beacon. You will be able to see and do many things while staying at this particular hotel.

Hotel #3: The Double Tree hotel has many things to offer its customers. This hotel offers sight seeing tours. The tours will give you the opportunity to view Washington D.C. at a different perspective. Each tour is a different perspective, and for those who take part of the tour.

Hotel #4: The Hampton Inn (Washington D.C. Convention Center) is one mile away from the White house. There are many adventures to participate in while in Washington D.C. This hotel/inn isn't as large as the other ones mentioned.

The four hotels are just the four of many others to choose. Do you wish to learn more about one of these hotels? Be sure to check out www.hotelscheap.org. This website will be able to help you book the hotel room for you, and how much more for your traveling needs.

If you are unable to view the ceremony or even the parade in person, there is always the good old tube box. Simply record the events and be prepared to watch the historic event anytime you wish.
