How to Increase Good Luck and Opportunity in Your Life

Tips for Welcoming Good Luck into Your Life

David S
We all know the feeling of "good luck" where everything seems to go our way and surprising opportunities just seem to come out of nowhere, much to our delight.

Unfortunately, most people do not know how to actively seek out good luck, or how to become "lucky". Here are my top tips for becoming a more luck-rich and abundant person:

Improve your internal dialogue, and what you say to others - If you are constantly saying "with my luck, I'll never get the promotion" and similar negative things, you are blocking the flow of good luck that would otherwise work its way into your life. Stop saying defeating things like that, and also cease all negative thoughts (God keeps blocking me from success, If only I were lucky like some people I would be wealthy, happy, etc.)

Create rituals and place good luck icons throughout your home or workplace - I highly recommend the Asian "Good Luck Money Tree" as it is easy to care for and a quite attractive green houseplant. You can buy it at many grocery supermarkets, and at a variety of florists as well. Water it regularly and watch your good luck increase as the leaves grow strong and large. Also place four-leafed clovers, horseshoes, or other icons of "good luck" around your home and in areas where you work a lot-such as a home office desk or kitchen counter where you pay your bills.

Read positive thinking books -
I recommend The Secret and The Power of Positive Thinking for those new to thinking abundantly. Although it seems unusual, opportunity comes your way when you have an open-minded and positive outlook on life. Cynical or worry-based thoughts, on the other hand, repel opportunities and turn potential customers, partners, and lovers away.

Meditate regularly - This one is so crucial! Find a relaxing CD or buy a guided meditation CD at the record store and spend around thirty to forty-five minutes each day meditating. You will decrease your stress levels and give your mind the space to enter an idealistic, almost dream-like state where you can "fantasize" about all of the good luck you want to experience in your daily life. Imagine how it feels to be the constant recipient of unexpected wealth and good luck-as you let these feelings intensify, and as you experience them time and time again, you will literally attract positive experiences into your life. It sounds like New Age nonsense, but I am a scientific person and the truth is that visualizing what you want while in a meditative state produces results.
