How to Increase Page Views on Associated Content Articles

You will be happy to know that I was able to pass the biggest hurdle of reaching the first 1000 page views.

A lot happened between then and now. I was on vacation to India and now that I am back I have decided to give a quicker update on my venture in the world of writing and publishing on internet.

I have not written as many articles as I wished during the last few months but I did write. It gave a real thrill when all articles combined reached more than 1000 page views. While these seem to be a small number for some of you, it's not a bad start for a newcomer like me.

Here are few new things I learned in the process.

# Find time to write on any topic you feel someone can benefit from: It may so happen that all your articles are on different topics but you never know they might interest many people. In fact at the end of the day its just that you want the world to be a better informed place to be in.

# Write more frequently: It definitely works. It is not a good idea to stop writing if you are not getting good number of hits initially, that happens. For my article on periodontal surgery the hits came real quick even though I had not promoted it that well.

# Read more and comment on more people's content: This will help others know your existence and might make them interested in your content.

# Get to know little bit more about Subscription and RSS: Well, this is something other people, if they subscribe to your content or get your RSS feed it promotes your articles. You can only write well, make sure the RSS feed icon is there in your content and keep up the good work. Whenever you publish something new, these people will be notified and when they click on the link your views will increase.

# Start using Facebook: Promoted my content on Periodontal Surgery and Baby diapers on Facebook and clearly see that it definitely helps in increasing page views. If you are really very active on facebook, this will definitely help. I have yet to try Twitter and My space.

# SEO technique: Well, I am now a little bit more aware of the SEO technique used by the big shots Google, Yahoo and Live Search. I was happy to see that my article on Periodontal Surgery came in the very first page of search in Google. Seems I am doing at least something right. I am planning to write in more detail on the SEO Technique as and when I start learning more about it. For now, its give the right name to your article. Try to think like an average user will search any article on the topic you have written and see if something similar appears. Give as much links from where you have got the information.

The more reliable information you give, more people will read.

Hopefully this time I will write more frequently and better articles.
