This is a great thing to do because when Google looks at your blog or Web site it want to know that other sites that are related are linking back to you, which is critical for fast and effective rankings in the search engines.

As far as video traffic one of the best things I have found is looking at videos that are already getting traffic and then using that in order to make your videos. Some of the videos that have gone super viral have been the ones that are responses to other popular videos that are already doing well. And if you can just take what has already worked for someone else and then make your own unique version and put your website in the video at the end that is a great way to promote your Web site and get a ton of views.

For this you can first go to delicious and look at where people are submitting their content to and then with that you can see if you can become an author. This is great because the recognition that you get as your work your way up as an author can get you even more exposure and that is always an awesome thing.

Become a guest blogger and write an entry for another popular blog, you will be surprised at how many marketers forget about this little gem. If you are not taking advantage of this you are missing out on free traffic that can not only be great for finding a great targeting niche but also give you back links. And people will let you write a guest entry on their blog if you just leave good comments and if you basically ask them and work out a deal. Lets say you have a guy who has a blog just ask him if you can write a guest entry and submit the content to him first before he posts it so he knows your not trying to spam or anything else.

There are so many ways that you can take advantage of the free traffic on the Web. Lets say that you want to target your Web site on all of the hottest news stories, you can go to Google trends and then blog or write about growing trends and topics that are hot at the current time. Just imagine if you combine this with video? You will get free traffic from those sites as well as the keywords that people find your blog with.
