The first thing you need to do is to get a wire coat hanger and untwisted it so that it is straight. You may need more than one coat hanger depending on the size of the inexpensive Christmas wreath you are going to build. Now bend the coat hanger into a perfect circle. The next thing you need to do is to attach garland to the coat hanger. You can purchase this garland from your local Christmas tree lot or you can make it yourself using cuttings from your own pine trees and pine bushes. Attach as much garland as possible using thin wire. The thicker the garland, the better the wreath will look, so use a lot. Once you have your wreath built, you're ready to add the Christmas decorations.
You can purchase very inexpensive Christmas decorations at your local thrift store, Goodwill store or dollar stores. Try to find some small Christmas tree balls and small Christmas ornaments. You also need a roll of 1' red velvet ribbon. Once you have acquired these items then you are ready to decorate your inexpensive Christmas wreath. Start by cutting strips of your red velvet ribbon into 24" pieces. Now tie each piece of them into a perfect bow. You will need 6 to 10 ribbons depending on the size of your wreath. Now that you have your ribbons cut and tied, you are ready to decorate your wreath.
To decorate your wreath, simply attach the ribbons that you have made with thin wire. Once you have attached the ribbons then begin adding the small Christmas tree balls and small Christmas ornaments. Continue attaching these items to your wreath until you feel you have achieved the look that you want.
By following these simple steps in this article you can see that to make an inexpensive Christmas wreath is fairly simple. Just shop around for creative inexpensive Christmas decorations, construct your garland from the bushes and trees in your own front yard( or your neighbors) and start the process of decorating your wreath. Now go hang that new wreath on your front door and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Post a CommentI REMEMBER MAKING CHRISTMAS WREATHS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. WHAT I WAS EXPECTING THIS ARTICLE TO TELL ME, BESIDES THE BENDING OF THE WIRE COAT HANGER, WAS TO GET SOME RED, GREEN, AND WHITE CREPE PAPER, TEAR THEM INTO STRIPS AND TWIST OR TIE THEM ONTO THE HANGER. I DO KNOW THAT THERE ARE DIFFERENT WAYS TO MAKE A WREATH SO BEFORE I SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THE WAY THIS ARTICLE SUGGEST BEFORE I TRY WHAT IT SAY, THEN I'LL REFRAIN FROM COMMENTING UNTIL I'VE GIVEN IT MY BEST SHOT. BY THE WAY, IF THIS PROJECT IS OVER $30 DOLLARS, I WILL CONSIDER IT EXPENSIVE. BECAUSE I KNOW THAT SOME VERY BEAUTIFUL, ELABORATE WREATHS CAN BE BOUGHT FOR AT LEAST THAT AMOUNT.
