How to Influence Mark Cuban on IceRocket.com - The part Dallas Mavericks' owner, part billionaire business mogul, part God Mark Cuban might know more about you than you thought. Well not literally, but he is Angel funding a startup, real-time search engine that lets the world now how influential you actually are on the World Wide Web. IceRocket.com allows users to search blogs, tweets, MySpace profiles and news in real-time. What is especially intriguing is how the search engine has the ability to dig up Twitter information and categorize which tweets are of the upmost importance. For someone such as myself, this may seem irrelevant for the meantime. I don't utilize the Twitter search tool too often, and I don't really care what a random mom from Philadelphia has to say about Kanye West or the swine flu.

However, it is understandable how this could be a groundbreaking technique that may benefit businesses and individuals across the globe. Somebody or some company attempting to promote their reputation or brand throughout the online world knows how essential the Twitterverse is. It lets them see how the public views themselves or their brand, and it gives them the opportunity to get in touch with these people and respond to their positive or negative comments.

Now, how does someone or some business know which of these tweets is actually a concern for them. This is where IceRocket.com comes to play. If "Mark Cuban" is entered on the Twitter search engine, endless amounts of tweets will appear. Displayed next to each tweet is the number of followers the tweeter has amassed. In order to maintain Mark's impeccable reputation (cough), he needs to know which people are worth his time to target. If Joe Schmoe and his 13 followers said "Mark Cuban is a (insert insult here) he is probably not too worried about it. However, if Barack Obama has something disturbing to say about Mark, then he probably should attempt to clear up situation if he wants to continue to be the cool kid on the block.

You never know who will come to bite you in the future. Reputation is the most important thing a person has. IceRocket.com takes care of these concerns. There is no need to keep using Twitter's in-house search engine any longer. IceRocket.com provides a more enhanced version that lets you know what's really important, not to mention the search engine goes beyond Twitter, including blogs, MySpace, recent news and images. Luckily Obama hasn't said anything harmful about me yet, but I will keep checking in with IceRocket.com to make sure.
