How to Install an Audio Capacitor in a Car

Dubtrizzle
Start by disconnecting your battery cables from the battery. Assuming you already have an amp and your other stereo components installed.

Now you will want to mount your audio capacitor near your amp, it doesn't have to be extremely close; however, you will need to connect the two. The Audio Capacitor should come with mounting hardware; you can mount this directly to your trunk, or to your speaker box.

You can now disconnect the power and ground from the amp, and connect them to the cap, if you have enough extra wire you can cut two short pieces to run back to the amp from the cap, or you may need to use some fresh wire.

Once the cables are hooked to the cap on the input side, connect another power and ground from the output side, back over to the amp where you originally disconnected the cables from, once this is done, hook your battery terminals back up, and you are good to go! You 1, Cap 0!

You can if you have a big enough capacitor to deal with two amps. You need .5 farads for every 500 rms your amp has so if you have a 1 or bigger farad you can run two amps that have 500 rms each.
