How to Install a New Font

In our fast growing world today, fonts have a lot to offer. They can bring our graphics alive and create some serious eye candy. Thousands of fonts are available online for free, just Google "free fonts" and you are bound to come up with a cornucopia of fonts. Most of these sites are very user friendly and make it easy for one to pick out their favorite font. Just scroll through the selections and click the font you want and voila, you can download it. You have saved it to your desktop, but now what? How do you install that font on your computer so you can use it in programs like Adobe Photoshop?

There is a very easy way to do this.

Make sure all applications/programs are closed before doing this.

The simplest way is to simply drag the fonts into your fonts folder located at "C:WindowsFonts"

How to access this:

1. Double click on "My Computer"

2. Double click on the drive Windows is installed. (Usually the C: Drive)

3. Click on the folder "Windows"

4. Click on the folder "Fonts"

Now just go back to your desktop or wherever you downloaded the icons and "click and hold" to select them all, then just drag them into the folder.

Done!
