IBM Lotus Symphony is a popular office suite for the Ubuntu operating system, which is available free of charge. Lotus symphony can be used to create text and spreadsheet documents in addition to multimedia presentations.

The original script for Lotus Symphony was heavily based on OpenOffice.org, but was further developed by IBM. Symphony supports the OpenDocument, or ODF, format in addition to the Microsoft Office and Lotus SmartSuite formats.
