Step 1
Turn the laptop over so the back is facing up. In the center of the laptop there is a panel with two screws holding it in place. Loosen the two screws. The screws will not completely come out.
Step 2
Run your finger under the edge of the panel cover until you feel the two tabs that are holding it in place. Press in on the tabs to release and remove the cover.
Step 3
Remove the RAM sticks that are already there by pushing the retaining clips away from the RAM module. The RAM will pop up once the clips are pushed back and then can be easily removed.
Step 4
Slide the new RAM sticks into position with the metal contacts facing down. The sticks should be tilted slightly upward. Press down firmly on each stick until it snaps into place securely.
Step 5
Place the cover back over the panel and tighten the screws.
