BJ Robinson
During many of your hot summers and cold winters, a high quality radiant barrier will keep your home at a comfortable temperature to well suit you when are hot or cold. This type of insulation is easy and does not take very long to install. Just be very careful and take precaution not to fall through the ceiling while you are working to install your radiant barrier! When many people install their radiant barriers, many people don't take enough precaution. Many people who don't take enough caution usually ends up injured and in some extreme cases death can occur. When you are ready to install your radiant barrier, here are a few steps you can follow to become successful when you install it.

Step One

For your first step you should wait for a good overcast day, so that your attic will not be stuffy and so hot. First lay some good and strong boards over the ceiling joists so that you will not fall through the ceiling. If you step through the ceiling joists, you could end up hurting yourself or even killing yourself. Go to a local hardware store and ask for some strong boards to hold you up. Once you have completed step one you are ready to do step two.

Step Two

Next after you have finished accomplished step one you can now do step two. Use some multi-layer materials that have plenty of fiber reinforcement. The radiant barrier needs to be installed properly. It needs to be installed under the roof in your attic, so that it is placed over open space. You can have the reflective surface to face the roof or floor. Either way you want it will work very fine. Now that you have done step two right you can do the final step.

Step Three

Now you should staple the barrier to the rafters with many staples less than three inches apart. Then you should loose all the fitting and ripping is okay; good air circulation will not in any way affect your performance. Caulk the edges of the foil to all the rafters. Once you have finished following the steps of installing your radiant barrier, you have completed the process. Now you can have warm winters and many cool summers.
