You can use the Internet to help you master speaking and listening in the English language. There are many free resources on line that you can utilize to improve your comprehension of spoken English and to produce it yourself.

One particularly useful site is Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab. Here you can listen to a variety of audio clips in English. The clips are organized according to difficulty of their content. There are also videos on culture you can watch to improve your knowledge of culture in English-speaking countries.

You Tube has several ESL videos that you can watch. Watch one to improve a particular grammar point you are having trouble with, and watch another one to learn some new vocabulary. Also try to watch videos of sitcoms or news broadcasts. These represent good examples of real and authentic use of the English language. The best part about watching videos online is that you can rewind or pause them so you can practice producing the language yourself, or play them again if you did not understand what was being said the first time.

Try a language exchange website such as My Language Exchange. You can meet English-speaking people online that want to learn your native language. When you meet up with your language partner, you can learn conversational English. Conversational English is one of the most important skills you can develop. You'll also have an opportunity to ask your language partner about different aspects of the language that you want to learn more about or do not understand.

You can hire also hire an English tutor online. Tutors can customize lessons to your needs and what you want to learn. You can also sign up for their pre-designed courses to target a certain area of the language you want to develop. Try the ESL Teacher's Board and Buddy School to find English language tutors.

A couple of good resources to listen to news broadcasts can be found at the National Public Radio and BBC websites. Listen to the recordings of the news each day. Pause the recordings and look up any words that you do not know, and re-play any parts you did not quite understand.
