If you have a grandmother, grandfather, mother or father who wants to learn how to use the internet, please consider emailing this article to them.

Maximize your Search, Minimize the Words

In order to effectively find what you are looking for on the internet, it is very important to minimize the number of words you use in your web search. If you want to learn the best way to learn how to groom a dog, you might usually type in "how to groom my dog", but a way to get more effective results would be "grooming a dog" or even "grooming dog", or "dog groom". Take out words like "a, to, and, the" which will increase the effectiveness of your search.

Search for Nouns

Using more nouns in your web search will help find the results you want. If you are researching Car Parking Garages, it would be better to type in "Car Garage", "Car Parking Garage" or "Car Parking Space" instead of "Car Parking". You will find that the results you receive after an internet search with more nouns will be more effective than a search using verbs.

Consider what Other Results You Might Accidentally Uncover

Remember that if you search for a word that has multiple meanings, you may uncover results that don't apply to the question you wanted to answer. Due your best to minimize words that might have multiple meanings and replace them with words that apply to your topic. "Sex" can be replaced with the word "Gender" to receive better results.

With these great tips, you will be well on your way to getting great search results. Happy Internet Surfing!
