Living the RV lifestyle can be whatever you make of it. You can jump in with both feet and travel full-time. There is a lot of wilderness in the US that you can explore. You can visit family that lives too far away for a one day visit. If you travel full-time, you can work your way around the country and visit all of the States in the US. But, the great thing about this hobby, is that you can travel on your own schedule as much or as little as you can afford or as your work schedule will allow.
The more you visit campgrounds in your RV, the more you will realize that you have become part of a sort of club. This club has members from all walks of life. And, the thing they have in common is their love of travel. You will begin to meet many new people with whom you are able to share this common interest.
People who travel in RV campers have their own language. This happens in most hobbies or lifestyles. It may seem foreign to the new person at first, but it will become very familiar in no time at all. Remember, these people were new to this activity once, as well. Most will be very happy to talk about their hobby. After all, if they did not love it, they would not be there in the campground in their RV.
It is also possible that the dealer where you purchased your RV may have introductory classes. These may seem silly. But, they could help you become more familiar with your camper and the lifestyle of those who also travel in this manner. If there are not classes, you can always ask the dealer if you have specific questions.
At the campgrounds you will see something that has become scarce in neighborhoods in the US in recent times. People you have never seen before will stop by and say hello, just to be friendly. When someone is taking a walk around the campground, they may see your campsite and stop for a chat. Once you are comfortable with the custom, you may find yourself doing this, as well.
Another place you may meet new friends is at the camp playground, if one is available. Other parents will also be taking their children to play on the swing and slide. While you are watching them play, you may strike up a conversation with others doing the same.
The more you travel with your RV camper, the more you will have a chance to immerse yourself in a new lifestyle. You can become a full-time participant in this new world. Or, you can use it as a chance to get away from home and relax. Or, you may choose something somewhere in between these two. Whatever you choose, you are sure to enjoy your new hobby with many new friends.
