The Ironman Triathlon is one which involves 2.4 miles of swimming, and then followed by 112 miles of cycling, and is finished off with a marathon. It has three phases to it that why it's a triathlon, and only the toughest can survive, thus, the name Ironman.
Now on how to do the Ironman Triathlon:
First and foremost, of course, you will need to register. It helps if you register early; chances are they slash off the registration fee for early birds just a little bit. In registering early also, you will avoid the crowd, what with such a big number of participants.
You will need to train your muscles hard and increase your personal exercise fitness. Train hard but do not overwork your body because this will just turn your training from good to bad. You will need to practice swimming. You will also need to workout your muscles, especially your biceps. Practice cycling regularly for the triathlon. Also do some practice brisk walking for your feet biceps and practice runs. Increase your endurance so you will last longer. Train and workout as much as you can but not too much.
Get geared up for the triathlon. Most items are costly but you can go with the substitutes or you can opt to rent some triathlon gears.
Try to practice with the gears you have prepared to assist you on how to do the Ironman triathlon. Break the new gears until they are comfortable to use.
Eat healthy and diet right. Maintain a proper and nutritious diet. It is vital to help keep your body in a good condition.
Together with the proper nutrition you are getting should be proper sleep and rest. You should get the enough amounts of sleep and the proper rest. This is important to help keep your body in a good condition.
Do not forget to have fun! All your effort will be in vain if you are not doing it out of fun at all. Enjoy the training sessions and workouts you have. Feel good about your training and your effort. Stay focused and always be motivated.
This is just a guideline or suggestion on how to do the Ironman triathlon; of course we each have our own different ways and different approach. But this is pretty much how we go about it.
