Attire
Guests can pick their favorite character (from the the original 1975 "Jaws" or one of its sequels: "Jaws 2" in 1978, "Jaws 3" in 1982 or "Jaws: The Revenge" in 1987) to dress up as. In addition to choosing an outfit, specify that attendees should choose a favorite scene to act out at the party.
Decorations and Party Favors
Blown up sharks are a must to be floating in the water at a "Jaws" themed pool party. Memorabilia from the films, such as posters or photos, can be arranged on tables as well. Offer DVD packs to everyone attending that include all of the movies, a copy of the original book and other small trinkets to commemorate the moment. Ideas for this include, necklaces with charms in the shape of Great White Sharks for the ladies and a silk tie with the same image for the guys.
Games, Activities and Prizes
Play "Ring the Fin" where guests throw plastic rings around the floating sharks to win one. Create custom T-Shirts as prizes as well. A movie marathon of all of the films leading up to the anticipated "Jaws 5" is also a must. Have them playing throughout the entire celebration.
Food and Beverages
Red and white wine should be placed on the tables to honor Matt Hooper's presence. Beer is a must for the Quints that attend. Make fun appetizers in the shape of fish and with shrimp. Finish it off with a cake in the shape of a Great White Shark for guests to bite into during the festivities.
Plan this "Jaws" themed pool party right before all heading out to see the new installment in this classic series. It is sure to be a hit with all members of every generation that has loved this movie for decades.
