How to Get a Job Quickly

V.C. Higuera
Getting a job quickly isn't easy in an over-saturated job market. Instead of giving up or risk having your resume and cover letter get lost in the shuffle, learn tricks to help you find a job quickly.

Improve your personal appearance. Get a job quickly by impressing employers with your professional attire. Invest in business clothes, perhaps a suit and tie.

Create a professional cover letter. Use a resume template to draft a professional resume. Proofread the document carefully before presenting it to employers.

Familiarize yourself with the company. Do your research on the company. What type of services do they provide? What products do they sell?

Learn how to sell yourself. How can you benefit the company? Do you have good customer service skills? Are you a people person? Expect the employer to ask probing questions during the interview. Prepare yourself in advance. Along with experience, getting a job quickly involves leaving a lasting impression.

Be enthusiastic...but overdo it. Smile to show that you're interested in the position.

Be confident. Employers prefer candidates who show a measure of self-confidence. Maintain good eye contact...but don't stare, and offer a firm handshake upon meeting potential employers.
