How to Keep Ants Out of the House Naturally

Great and Cheap Tips You Need to Try.

Jeanne Marie Kerns
Ants, mosquitoes, and flies are the three insects that just annoy me more then anything when summer finally arrives. Finding the easiest, and the most effective ways to get rid of them is something I have no problem spending time doing. Here are a few ways to keep those ants out of the house, that actually work!

Vinegar

Vinegar and water in equal parts into a spray bottle will keep the ants out of your house. Spray the mixture next to all door and window openings, do not leave puddles, just a mist will do just fine. Repeat the process at least three times, and the ants will get the hint. If you can stand the smell, you can use straight vinegar for the same results.

Onions ( white, yellow or red)

Placing chopped, sliced or whole onions outside the doorways will most definitely keep those ants out of your house. Too keep the onions from rotting quickly, sprinkle some lemon or lime juice all over them. The combination of the onions and lemon juice makes the idea even better.

Cinnamon

Last but not least, sprinkling cinnamon all around the inside of the window edges, as well as the door openings will keep ants and any other insect that crawls, out of your house. Do not use cinnamon sugar, pure cinnamon is what is needed for this to work. You can even place cinnamon sticks in places where ants frequent.

No matter what you use, try the natural options first. Pesticides just waste money and make everything smell very unappealing.
