How to Keep Bugs From Biting

One Product That Works

Sabrina Martin
I love summer but I don't love the hungry little bugs that it brings. Since I was a child bugs have been drawn to me. Being outdoors can be incredibly uncomfortable without a way to keep bugs from biting me.

I've tried numerous bug repellants and I've tried burning those citronella candles that are supposed to keep bugs away, but none of them work.

Faced with this issue I can either toughen up and get used to having itchy bug bites to deal with all summer, lock myself inside and keep the doors and windows shut at all times, or I can find a way to keep bugs from biting me and enjoy the beautiful weather.

I think I'll go with the latter option.

Since I know bug repellants aren't effective and the candles don't keep bugs from biting either, I'll have to come up with another solution.

How to keep bugs from biting

Some people claim garlic works to keep bugs from biting but I don't believe that it does. When I was young we gave our dogs garlic in an attempt to keep fleas off them. It didn't work. I took garlic pills to keep the fleas from biting me and it made no difference either.

There was something that seemed to work however; Avon Skin So Soft. In fact it worked really well. I remember bathing with it in my bathwater and my mother spraying it on me periodically throughout the day and at night before going to bed. It worked much better at keeping bugs from biting than anything else we tried.

It may be something you'd like to try as well. Use the original Skin So Soft bath oil or the original Skin So Soft bath oil spray to keep bugs from biting. The spray works great when you're on the go. You can, however, use the original bath oil and mix it with water to make your own spray. Use a clean, empty spray bottle; fill it with 1 cup water and ½ cup Skin So Soft oil. Shake it well and spray it on.

Skin So Soft works great to keep bugs from biting, it's great for your skin, and smells good too. It can be purchased through an Avon sales representative or online at the Avon official website. A bottle of the original Skin So Soft bath oil is about $12.50 - $16.00 depending on size, and the Skin So Soft bath oil spray is $6.00.

I'm not sure what it is about Skin So Soft that the bugs don't like, and I don't care as long as it works. If you're sick of dealing with itchy bug bites and not being able to enjoy the warm weather the way you'd like, try using Skin So Soft to keep bugs from biting.
