How to Keep Bumble Bees Out of Your Shrubs

Alicia Bodine
You will need the following items to get rid of the bees:
  1. Beer
  2. String
  3. Squirt bottle
  4. Water
  5. Dish soap
  6. Left over fruit
  7. Raid
  8. Bars of soap
Follow The Steps Below:

Step 1:
Buy a 6pk of beer and empty out half of the beer from each can. Leave the tab sticking up and thread a string through it. Hang the half empty beer cans around the shrubs or leave them on the ground (standing up) all around the shrubs. The bees will go in there and drown.

Step 2:
Place one tablespoon of dish soap in a squirt bottle and fill with warm water. Squirt all of the bees that come around. The soap will kill them and eventually there will be no more bees that know about your shrubs to come around.

Step 3:
Place some leftover fruit in an area where you don't mind the bees congregating. This will distract them from your bushes and give them a new hang out.

Step 4:
Spray the bees with Raid. This will kill them almost instantly. You may have to do this for a few days, but eventually all of the bees will be gone.

Step 5:
Hang some bars of soap all around your shrubs. Bees don't like it and will steer clear of the area. The only downside is that this may take away from the beauty of observing your shrubs.

Tips:
Do not use a flower scented soap. This may attract the bees instead of repel them.

Warnings:
Be careful not to get the Raid in the shrubs. It has harsh chemicals that could damage the shrubs.
