How to Keep Cool and Beautiful with Noxzema

Turn Hot Days into Noxzema Spa Days

ShawnTe Pierce

Those dog days of summer can be harsh on the face and feet. Between the sun, sweat, chlorine and sand these areas can end up feeling dry, maybe even parched. While sitting in a cool room and sipping on a cool beverage or water can calm things down, there is a way to pamper your face and feet. Give yourself a mini spa treatment that will help cool things down and keep you beautiful. You just need one beauty product, Noxzema.

How Noxzema Can Make You Cool During the Summer

If you have ever used the Original Noxzema Deep Cleansing Cream, then you know that familiar tingle your face gets when you wash it using the product. Noxzema cleanses the face gently without drying the skin out. One of the things that make people loyal to the facial cleanser is the camphor and menthol, which gives you that tingly feeling while using it. It also makes your skin feel refreshed similar to how it feels when you get a steam facial then walk into cooler air. That cooling sensation the camphor and menthol give to the skin will help you cool down quicker after coming in from the heat.

The Cooling Noxzema Facial

After spending a few hours in the heat, you probably feel the need to splash water on your face to help cool it down a little. Why not cool it down a lot by washing your face with Noxzema? Here is how I beat the heat with Noxzema:

  1. Rinse face with lukewarm or cool water
  2. Pat face dry with a paper towel
  3. Apply a thick layer of Noxzema to face, making sure to stay away from eyes and mouth
  4. Allow the cream to stay on face between 10 and 15 minutes
  5. Dampen a face cloth in cool water and remove the cream
  6. Then rinse face with cool water and pat dry with a paper towel

After that, I no longer feel overheated. The best part is, my skin feels cool and smooth to the touch.

Treat Your Feet to a Noxzema Cooling Facial

Sometimes my feet become dry and hot during the summer. I used to put lotion and use cooling sprays to help them out. However, spending money on cooling sprays was becoming expensive for me. One day when I was giving myself the Noxzema facial to cool off I decided to try the same process on my feet. I got a basin of cool water and washed my feet. Then I slathered Noxzema all over the bottoms of my feet. The same tingle I felt on my face, I felt on my feet as well. My feet instantly felt soothed and not tight from the dryness anymore. After I removed the cream with a damp washcloth, I dried my feet and applied my favorite foot cream.

Both the Noxzema facial and foot facial are inexpensive ways to cool down when your skin is dry and overheated. I recommend this for normal and dry skin. Oily skin can benefit, however, you may need to use a toner afterwards. If you have sensitive skin and have never used Noxzema Original Deep Cleansing Cream before, I recommend doing a patch test to see if the cream irritates your skin or not. If you decide to try this method out, let me know if it works for you the way it did for me. Everyone is different, so adjust the steps and timing to suit you.
