How to Keep the Cut Flowers Fresh for a Longer Time?

Did you received a bouquet of flowers and you want to keep them alive as long as possible? There are secrets from the gardeners' backstage that help the flowers to stay fresh for a long time.

Here are some of them:

The withered flowers can come back to life if we shake their stems under a jet of water, then dipping them into water in which was dissolved aspirin;

In order to keep the flowers fresh for many days, we have to cut from their stems;

The water of the flowers must be at room temperature;

The cut flowers wilt more difficult we dissolve in the water where they are:

- 1/2 tablet of aspirin;

- 2 spoons of sugar;

- A little boric acid;

- 1/2 Spoon of salt.

Roses and tulips can be kept fresh several days if we dip the top of their stems in hot water; the roses stay fresh in water that contains sugar;

The soil from the flower pot will be improved if we add ground coffee or water in which was washed raw meet;

The flowers will keep their freshness if we leave them for several hours into water, before putting them into vases.

    Great advice! I knew about the aspirin but I thought once they had started to wilt, it was too late to bring them back...
