When life's fire burns down to the embers
The chimney takes the smoke for a drive
Ashes is all that's left of all you remember
How do you keep the flame alive?
Mother gave you everything and now she's gone
On your own two feet you have to survive
Now that mother is gone you are all alone
How do you keep the flame alive?
The romance fades after the last dance
She won't return when spring arrives
Your stolen kiss was the last stand of romance
How do you keep the flame alive?
When all the love in the world is gone
How do you live when you don't want to be alive?
When love has left you to be the only one

Wonderfully done Mike. I want to take this advice to heart. I know that someday we get the greatest gift....forever young in the Kingdom. Please pardon me for being absent for a while. I have too many irons in the fire at times but striking the iron for the Kingdom while its hot! :-)
Interesting question and a job well done.
The embers are meant to cool and die as another flame is lighted. Keeping the flame alive is sometimes achieved by passing on our experience and knowledge. I'm not too fond of the dying ember scenario myself. Oh, to be a simple rock;)
Lovely!!!!
So loving this...... :o)
So sad, but true...
Nice work.
