1. Help out wherever and whenever you can, be useful to other employees and to your bosses, make them see that they cannot afford to lose you.
2. Do keep ahead of the game, keep on top of your work, and keep in with everything and anything that's going on within your workplace.
3. Don't be late, always be on time, arrive to work early and leave work late.
4. Be happy, positive, confident, easy to talk to and easy to approach. The better you are and the better you feel the more you will be seen as an asset to your company.
5. Don't gossip and don't stir up trouble. You never know who will find out.
6. Contribute and be a contributor - If someone needs help be it your boss or a fellow employee then provide your services.
7. Stay focused on what you need to do. Focus on your job and what needs
doing.
8. Communicate and be an effective communicator.
9. Don't get sucked into social networking - unless of course your job involves social networking. Social networking can cause problems within the workplace so stay clear of it if you want to keep your job.
10. Don't be selfish. Help others and those around you, Put yourself out there to help others, show your employers and bosses that you are a necessity.
11. Help with the workload, even if its not in your job description, its best to be a useful and effective member of the team and your workplace - show your boss or employers that you are a real team player.
12. Don't ask for a raise or a promotion.
13. Make sure that you achieve and surpass any targets or aims set. You could even set your own targets and goals and surpass them.
14. Do keep improving and reviewing yourself. Keep learning new skills and new things that make you an even better employee.
15. Do keep abreast on your company and your marketplace - Know what's going on where and when.
