Is it possible to look young and beautiful at the same time? Which would you rather look young or beautiful? People try to improve their looks by using cosmetics and getting cosmetic surgeries and injections. These are efforts to improve and enhance appearance of a person. They make a person look attractive and appealing. However, continued and frequent uses of these cosmetic procedures is needed to maintain a young and attractive appearance. If their uses is discontinued the damage the products have had on the skin is revealed.

Make-up

According to Dr. G Todorow's of smartskincare.com, make-up can cause skin damage. Makeup products contain chemicals that can cause skin irritation. Eye make-up such as shadow and mascara damage the skin around the eyes, causing crow's feet. Lip stick can damage skin, causing fine winkles around the lips. The chemicals in make-up removers can damage the skin by removing natural oils and moisture.

Botox

Botox is injected beneath the skin to cause muscle paralysis. This prevents wrinkles that are caused by repeated muscle contraction which results in crows feet, horizontal creases on the forehead, and vertical lines around the mouth. Frequent repeated injections can ruin the facial muscles, causing them to loose feeling and collapses when the botox wears out. As a result, when the botox wears out the facial muscles will sag and bag, giving a person's face an aged baggy, droopy look.

Facial Cosmetic Surgery

Facial cosmetic surgery is done to make a person look younger. It involves removing excess skin to tighten the face to get rid of wrinkles, sags and bags from around the eyes, on the forehead, on the jaw, around the mouth, and on the neck and chin. Common problems are experienced after a surgery. They include skin discoloration, lose in nerve sensory where surgery was done, tissue injury, and irregular developing features.

The damage caused by Make-up, botox, and facial cosmetic surgery can prematurely age the skin and cause a person to look very unattractive. The whole purpose for using the cosmetic products and procedures is defeated. Furthermore, the resulting damage can have a negative affect on a person's self-esteem.

However, people can look young and beautiful without the use of make-up, botox, and facial cosmetic surgery simply by doing the following.

Diet

Water- Drink plenty of water, at least eight cups a day. An adequate amount of water is necessary to cleanse toxins out of the body. When there is not enough water in the system toxins build up in the body and escape through the skin's pores, which can cause acne. By drinking an adequate amount of water daily the toxins are flushed out the system, thus acne breakouts due to toxins will less like occur.

Fruits and Vegetables- Eat a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables. They are enriched in antioxidants which can protect the body from free radicals, elements that speed the aging process. As stated by dr. Joseph James in "Color Code: A Revolutionary Eating Plan For Optimum Health"
(www.naturalskincaresecrets.com)the nutrient in colorful foods promote the production of collagen which provides elasticity to ones skin, delaying wrinkles.

Food That Causes Wrinkles

Avoid eating fatty red meats, cakes, pastries and deserts, full fat dairy products, and food containing saturated fat. These foods lack the nutrients needed to keep the skin from aging. These foods have a high fat and "bad" glucose content that causes plaque build up on the cells as well as in the intestines and arteries. According to a Monash University study in Melbourne Australia, this fat and bad glucose attaches itself to proteins in the skin cell membranes, disrupting the function of the skin cells. As a result the skin becomes vulnerable to UV damage and wrinkles.(Dr. Kouris Blazos of Melbourne Monash University at www.healthyeatingclub.org)

Practical Skin Protection

Maintaining a healthy diet is an internal way to attempt to keep skin looking young and beautiful.

Stay out the sun. Minimize sun exposure by sitting in the shade when outdoors and wearing a wide rim hat when out walking. Wear long pants and long sleeve shirts.

Use moisturizing face creams. Clean your face using gentle moisturizing facial soaps that lack damaging chemicals.

Avoid contorting your face in repeated strange ways. Repeated frowning and squinting form wrinkles in the forehead and crows feet around the eyes.
A person should make it a habit to sleep on his or her back. Sleeping on ones back avoids pressing creases in the sides of the face, which occurs when sleeping on one's side.

You can take steps to keep your skin looking young. However, whether or not you look beautiful is up to your own opinion. In my opinion, the best way to look beautiful is to be happy and satisfied with who you are and how you look, and most importantly have confidence in who you are as you were created.

I like this article. Botox can ruin facial features in the long run. However there is some corrective surgery that is worth doing with a good plastic surgeon. Thanks for the skin tips.
