If you are wondering how to make a kid's octopus costume for Halloween look no further. Kids love wearing unique and fun Halloween costumes, and an octopus costume is definitely exciting and one of a kind. This article will provide you with detailed instructions on how to make a kid's octopus costume for Halloween.

For this costume you will need a long sweater, shirt, or dress that fits your kid. You will also need a ski hat, white felt, black felt, scissors, fabric glue, polyfil or another form of stuffing, safety pins, and 8 pairs of knee high socks. Start by filling each sock with the stuffing until you reach the end. Remember to save two socks for your kid to wear with the costume.

Then cut large circles out of the white felt; also cut small black circles out of the black felt. Glue the black circles to the middle of the white circles to make eyes. Repeat the process to make two eyes. Glue the eyes to the sides of the ski hat. Make sure to let your kid try the hat on when you decide where to put the eyes.

Tie the end of each sock into a knot after they have been stuffed. Then attach the socks to the bottom edge of the sweater or dress using the safety pins. Make sure to attach the octopus legs to the shirt while it is on your child. This will make deciding where they go easier; it will also make the legs appear more comfortable. Stick the safety pin through the knot and into the sweater. You may also use Velcro for this purpose, but safety pins are nice because they leave the sweater unharmed. When the legs are attached help your kid put the final socks and the hat on. This will complete the octopus costume.

A kid's octopus costume is a unique idea for Halloween. It is fun and easy to make, and it can be made very inexpensively. This no-sew costume can be made with kids, and it only takes a little of time. Remember to allow the fabric glue to dry for the time suggested on the bottle for best results. This Halloween costume is one of a kind and awesome; your kids will love being an octopus for Halloween this year!
