How Do I Know He Loves Me?

P.A. Brown
I Love how you love me,

no other can replace you.

Your eyes light up,

you begin to blush,

and your attitude's brand new.

You try to hide your excitement,

but to me it's clear as day.

I love everything you do,

from your walk, to your talk.

It doesn't matter what people say.

Days come and go

with hours flashing by.

There's never enough hours and days

to spend with my main guy.

When I fuss, you love me,

you love me on my worst days.

Your look is innocent, with a heart of pure

love, to you it doesn't matter

how much I get paid.

I will forever be your mother

and you my child.

Your innocence is precious

and I plan to keep it awhile.

I pray for your strength

and the ability to endure life's challenges.

I pray you have the wisdom

to be able to balance it.

Never harden your heart

or think your better than any.

Humble yourself, be wise,

with responsibility to lead many.

You may be my child

but you belong to the Creator.

You belong to Him,

all i can do is guide you to be better.

I hope you forgive me

because I'll make my faults.

But always remember my love is forever,

never let it leave your thoughts.

My son, I pray God

will guide you through.

I pray he'll protect you,

even from me

This is what I pray for You.
