It is no secret that especially in the United States, many women are infected or have been repeatedly been victims of "yeast infections." A majority of women's yeast cells, scientifically these are a tiny one-celled fungus called "Candida albicans." These yeast cells normally grow inside the vagina and in the intestines. There are many medical names for this kind of infection. It is also called "thrush" or vaginal fungal infection, or even sometimes called Candida albicans overgrowth.
First of all, this kind of disease or infection are particular to women. This kind of infection commonly occurs when a woman's body becomes unbalanced, then this kind of small fungus can grow and even multiply. If an overgrowth of "Candida albicans" happen, it will result to the appearance of a vaginal discharge. This discharge commonly looks like a white, thick, slime. I warned you not to read this when you're eating but I need to move along. Ok I told you about the body's imbalance a while ago, but the question is how does this imbalance could create yeast?
Good question, when a human's body has its natural balance and has a balanced good and bad bacteria in the body, it basically prevents unwanted fungus, bacteria or viruses in the human's body. The same as in the women's vagina, a well-balanced body helps prevent the "Candida Albican" to overgrow in the vagina. A well-balanced body that has the ample amount of good bacteria helps maintain a balanced acid environment in the vagina sometimes called "ph balance". A right "ph balance" in the vagina prevents the fungus from overgrowing.
Now of course before making any solutions, it is important to know the cause. For your information, yeasts grow rapidly when the body's natural balance scientifically called homeostasis, is in a bad state or weak. There are many factors how these happen to a woman's body homeostasis:
1. Over-using antibiotics can kill off the helpful bacteria in the body. This could lessen your body's immune system.
2. Ok although it is said that birth control pills are safe, but it definitely changes the body's hormonal levels. The sudden shift in the hormone levels can also decrease a human body's guard system.
3. This sounds strange but sometimes by wearing underwear are the cause of yeast infections. Underwear made from synthetic fabrics can somehow be a breeding ground for the candida yeasts. The main reason for this is the fact that synthetic fabrics hold in moisture and warmth. And of course most fungus including the candida like these kinds of environment to multiply and to overgrow.
4. Sometmes even stress can be pinpointed on this problem. In connection to a body's imbalance, when the body is stressed the immune system becomes weaker and becomes less active to fight off infections.
5. Your eating habit is also needed to be monitored. It is proven that people who have a high carbohydrate intake are somehow more prone to have an overgrowth of Candida albicans. Maybe this is also the reason why many of the yeast-infected women are the ones who are above the average weight level.
6. Many of the women who are infected by these yeasts are in their pregnancy stage, of course during the pregnancy the hormones becomes crazy and all the hormonal changes can lead to thrush more or less in the third trimester stage of pregnancy.
7. Conditions, particularly diabetes is also one major factor, because of the unpredictable body state when you have diabetes. It can increase the risk of yeast infection.
8. Allergic reactions from chemicals when using lubricants, condoms and other things that can irritate the vagina. Due to allergic reactions, the vagina are also more prone to other infections.
Ok guys, especially if you have a partner, be aware of the following symptoms in order for you to identify whether your partner has an infection. Your partner is more likely infected yeast if:
1. She has a long term vaginal itching. Meaning if they feel it all the time. Sometimes intolerable.
2. Yeast infected women often produce a white cottage cheese-like discharge in their vagina. I know it sounds disgusting but the discharge also smells really aweful.
3. Intercourse is so painful. Ok so you'll say your thing becomes bigger that's why she felt pain, but sorry that's not the case. Yeast infected women say that the pain is excruciating that they can't even think about having sex.
4. Difficulty on peeing, sometimes blood are also visible when urinating. It is a clear sign of infection if this is experienced.
Ok now it's gone. You feel comfortable now, but unexpectedly the same symptoms keep on coming back. Vaginal fungal infections happen in a majority of women. When a woman keeps having fungal infection, she better see a doctor, it is better to prevent it from becoming worse. Some reasons why the problem keeps on coming back are:
-Continuously doing wrong medication that caused it to keep on coming back.
-The infection may be too strong or in the "worse" stage that needed advanced medication to treat it.
-Connected infections or diseases that keeps on refueling the infections such are HIV/AIDS or from infections caused by diabetes.
-Maybe you've mistakenly point out at "yeast infection". But maybe the infection is not really yeast at all but some other causes particularly other organisms.
This kind of infection is very easy to treat and to make it go away. But it can be very annoying and it could go worse if you don't know how to treat it. There's always a saying if it's too late, it could get nothing but to get worse and worse. So be aware and careful and don't leave the problem until it gets worse. It is important to take care of our body and not to abuse it in any way. If you're unsure on what you have or experiencing it is still best to see a doctor.
