Lala.com describes itself as being a simple site to use. While you do not have to register to listen to musical selections the process is not complicated and Lala will give you your first 25 selections for free. You do not need a credit card to register. You may only listen to each musical choice once before purchasing it for .10 or paying for an MP3 download.

To begin using Lala with all of its benefits you only need to create a free account. By clicking on the new registration link you will be asked for your e-mail address, a password of your choice and your first and last name. That is all the information that is required to receive a 25 free song credit.

You may choose to create a profile or leave your personal information blank. You are also given the option of keeping your profile and purchase information private. To purchase music you will need to add a credit card number to your account. Lala.com requests that you add whole dollar amount funds into your "wallet" which acts as a bank for your purchases. You may then purchase unlimited listening of your choice of songs or download your choice of MP3 which vary in cost but start at 79 cents.

From your main account page you will be presented with a music search bar. You may enter a music group or title to begin your search. You may also click on a series of music categories including Easy Listening, Classical, Alternative, Holiday, Metal, Pop and many more. If you choose this type of search you will be presented with choices of sub-genres as well as top artists and fast rising artists.

Once you have chosen your first selection to listen to you only need to click on the white arrow inside a blue circle to begin listening to your choice. While you are listening you may choose to add the selection to your personal list. Again your first 25 choices are free to add to your list for unlimited listening.

When you click to add a title choice a box will pop up telling you how many credit selections you have available whether it be from your initial 25 free choices or your "wallet" bank. For every selection you add you will also receive a .10 credit towards the purchase price of an MP3 download. Your music title box also provides you with the album title and the year the music was released.
