A block of mozzarella cheese

1 block of frozen chopped spinach (thawed)

For a delicious family meal, try homemade lasagna! All in all it does take about an hour to make this dish, however it is well worth the rich and satisfying taste, this is also a wonderful dish to have young children help make, because it is so easy to prepare.

To begin preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Next take your large mixing bowl and mix the entire contents of the ricotta cheese container, the egg, and the thawed chopped spinach, mixing thoroughly. When this is done, set aside. Then taking your cheese grater, medium bowl, and your mozzarella cheese grate the entire block of mozzarella, then set aside(*money saving tip: if you want to save some money, try only using half of the mozzarella block of cheese and use it for later). Next you will take the 13 x 9 baking pan and spread spaghetti sauce evenly along the bottom. This will help to ensure you do not get burnt, crusty noodles on the bottom of the pan. Then you take the no boil noodles and place them edge to edge along the pan, ensuring you cover the entire pan with noodles. After this take your ricotta mix and spread it over the top of the uncooked noodles.

Repeat this process, usually two or three times depending on the depth of your baking pan. Lastly, before sticking it in the oven you will spread the mozzarella out over the top of the mixture. Let it bake for thirty to forty-five minutes checking to see if the cheese is completely melted before pulling it out.

Some nice additions to lasagna to help fill you up are ground beef, carrots, and broccoli, you would add them to you ricotta mixture for more flavor and texture.

After forty-five minutes remove the baking pan form the oven, remember to turn the oven off, and allow to cooling for five to ten minutes before serving and enjoying this tasty dish!
