How is the Laugh at Cancer Organization Different?

Imogen Rayne AAB BSCOM
The Laugh at Cancer Organization has beliefs and rules, which we follow. The rules and major decisions are made, by the board of directors or members must vote on the issues. Before instating any new rules, we follow the proper chain of command.

At the creation, the board of directors decided amongst themselves how we would help families. Now, we must stay within our beliefs, when operating from day to day. However, our organization's beliefs are a lot different the American Cancer Society.

Currently, we offer daily support to patients and families, who need it. Some organizations just handle certain types of cancer like childhood cancer's or breast cancer. However, all cancers kill, so we must work together. Then, we can beat this war on cancer, which has raged for years.

The organization called Kidz Konnected has a wonderful program for kids in their area. They have a great program that sends teddy bears and books to children. This is a great service, but many don't know about it.

However, we have created a Global Chain of Hope Project. This is a project that allows these organizations to have their website listed in our chain of hope. This way, the families can find the help they need. Plus, we reach outside the American realm.

My non-profit organizations created a monthly Day of Hope Project and Wings of Hope Project. These projects focus on renewing to families spirit and hope. We give away gifts and send out encouragement cards to families facing cancer touch in their life.

Our organization depends on donations to make this possible, so consider helping us. Thanks to our contributors, we have had four successful months of helping families in need. We are hoping to continue our effort each month. Therefore, come check out how we can help you and your family.

You're doing a great thing. My daughter is fighting cancer (and chemo) right now so we know what a traumatic thing it can be.

What an awesome purpose does this organization posess (or does it posess them?). Truly a labor of love. Unknown exactly is the mechanism by which altruistic love affects health, which occurs through blocking or attenuating the stress response, or through activating positive neurotransmitter pathways in the brain, but it does. Conversely, loneliness breeds congestive heart failure & more. Just as nature abhors a vacuum, a lack of love can lead to a collapse within; like a black hole, not even light can escape. God bless those behind this & those supporting it.
