When was the last time you had a good dose of laughter? If you cannot remember when exactly, then, you need a serious laughing fix. Maybe you have been living a stressful life lately, made even more gloomy with all the negative feelings you have been harboring inside. You have been living life on the edge of sanity and one more push will snap you like a twig, broken in two.

One piece of advice: Lighten Up and Laugh. You'll find that life is much easier and brighter than what you usually have painted in the black and white canvass of your mind. It is a proven fact that humor is really good for your mind and body. Not only will you feel morally uplifted, but you will also feel a healthier difference. When the mind is not happy, you are inviting a host for diseases to take over. There were even reports on how patients with cancer found their healing through laughter. For this, we see the sudden spread of laughter therapy for all of those who find it hard to find that childish giggle from within.

Life is indeed short and instead of spending it on the most depressing thought that you can come up with, why not do the opposite instead? Sometimes, people have a self-torturing habit of just inflicting too much pain on themselves and it is only you who can put an end to this cycle and no one else. You have to believe that life is a joy ride with the ups and downs, and no matter how the journey ends, you'll turn out just as fine. There's no reason why you shouldn't be indulging in the bliss of laughter, especially when it costs nothing to do so.

If you have been living in the shadows of despair lately and feels like you deserve something better, here are ways to put the fun back into your life without unnecessary complications:

1. Commit your time and energy into living a better life by striving to focus on happy thoughts, specially when negative situation arises.

2. Don't be too uptight and loosen up a little. There's no sense in keeping the drama going in your life by swimming in a river of frustration that either drags you along,or drown you for good.

3. Find it difficult to laugh? Help yourself laugh by watching funny flicks, reading funny jokes online, or seeing a stand-up comedy show in a famous club downtown. Get humor whenever and wherever you can.

4. Avoid hanging out with sad or angry people ( or both ). Attitude can really rub on you faster than the flu virus and for this, you need to be in the company of happy people to get motivated.

5. Let go of your old unhappy self and just bask in life's simple joys and pleasures. Appreciate what you have. Even the sound of your breathing can inspire happy thoughts while you're deep in meditation.

6. Share your laughter and be more viral than the wildest pandemic virus that ever existed. True happiness can only come when it is shared with others and you have plenty of time to do so. Even your boring work place can become a coven of joy.

If you do these and keep humor a part of your daily life, you are guaranteed to start living the life that you have always wanted. Laughter has been proven to lower blood pressure and promote relaxation to people. You will feel more energized too, since laughter increases your blood's oxygen level. Besides, you also get a nice shot of endorphins which are great in keeping you happy.

When you are happy, you look better and people will enjoy your company more. This joy will place a safety bubble around you that even no illness can touch. Happiness means immunity from all that you shouldn't be feeling or thinking at this moment. Start now with a simple smile.. and be thankful for being given a chance to realize: The Key to Your Happiness is YOU!
