How the Law of Attraction Complements the Bible, and Never Contradicts It

The Law of Attraction Explained Within the Words of the Christian Bible

Stephen Marshall
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all of these things shall then be added unto you."

This verse comes from the Christian bible, and is to be found in Mathew 6:33.

What does this short verse have to do with the Law of Attraction?

Well everything really.

The law of attraction can be used from different levels of consciousness. When we are trying to use it to fulfil our own wants, we are then contradicting this advice from the bible to seek God first, or to follow only love. We are trying to gain something from outside of this full love, and we need to realise that it is always possible for all of us to be able to fully operate only from love first.

We need to follow only love first, and all else will be then added for us, as needed back into our lives. It is only because of a lack of love, that we think that something is currently missing. It is only because of us holding onto our fears, that we do not see the full love that is always available, and that it is possible for us to live from, and as, as us.

We need to be the love, that we want to see in the world, to paraphrase Mahatma Gandhi's own famous and so often repeated quote, that we need to be the change that we want to see within the World.

''You must be the change, that you wish to see in the world.''

When the law of attraction is used properly, it is not used to attract material goods, but it is more only a description of how the Universe really all works. Love is the makeup of the Universe, and love is the great oneness always being talked about by the masters, and that is containing all else.

All of us are always being attracted back towards love, and so to God. We remain a part of God, and of his love, and so being of the same substance as God and his oneness, we are also connected to him, and attracted to him as well.

In truth there is nothing ever really outside of us for us to ever be attracted separately to. We are all a part of the one wholeness of God, and which is all inclusive of the with and without, or the inner and the outer, at one and the same time.

The law of attraction claims to attract the Universe to me, but it must always be remembered that I am the Universe too, or at least a part of it.

What the law of attraction really means is that it connects or attracts similar other matching parts of the Universe back to myself. Like attracts like. The matching parts of the Universe tend to come together, and so help each other better to work together.

But why is this even so?

The oneness is just the oneness, and all of its parts, are just its parts.

Why would one part be attracted to any other part, except for the connection of love that is always existing between each and every other part?

Each part independently operates as itself, and only love connects each part together.

Attraction or any other mysterious forces like this law are merely illusions of what love is not really so much only ever doing, but which is more better explained by thinking that love is just forever being only itself in its overall oneness of itself.

Love never does things. Love just is love, and love is always being love by flowing into all parts of the oneness of itself.

We can do all things only though the love that strengthens us to do so.

Love fulfils itself from its parts connecting together to show itself to itself.

Each part of love or of God does vibrate in its own way, and similar vibrating parts do gravitate towards each other, but apart from this, you operate only as you and as your own unique part, and so do all the other parts of the Universe. The Universe operates with you, not necessarily only for you. You and it work together, and it doesn't solely work for you. It simply works with you, and which is a subtle distinction to try to grasp.

You are not standing on top of a pedestal in a position where the whole Universe only ever works for you.

The Universe just works with you in it, and rather you should be working for the Universe by being the part in it that you really are. You should be allowing yourself to be fully connected as you to this part, and then to connect back also to all of the other parts, and so also to the whole Universe as well.

The idea that anything is supplying you with your needs is incorrect in the sense that you really never have any needs.

When you have needs, you are not then being your full self. All is always being supplied and provided for you at all times, and so this means that you never need ever ask for, or attract anything else to yourself. The Universe works perfectly with you, and you work perfectly only when you work with it, by being exactly the part of it that you are.

On the other hand though, it is the law of attraction that makes it possible for things to be able to respond to each other.

The love in me is attracted to the love in you, and we are both attracted to the overall oneness of the love of God, and in which we are both a part. Most people feel this force of attraction, but they never realise that the reason or power force behind it all is really only love.

Love is the only source of attraction, and it is only ever love that attracts all and everything else towards it.

Generally the law of attraction is about realising that we attract towards us who we currently are. If we hold negative thoughts, we will attract people with negative thoughts towards us. This is why the bible advocates for us to think only on good things.

This is covered by Saint Paul in Philippians 4:8, where he states this in these words:

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

The law of attraction relates back also to the one great law that Jesus gave, to love God, and to love all else with all of your heart, mind and soul.

This important guiding principle is found at Mark 12 in verses, 30 & 31.

"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. This is the first great commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these."

Love allows other laws to bend themselves to meet love. The law of attraction allows love to be itself by love allowing the attraction to be part of its own make up.

All parts of love are attracted to love. Similar parts of love are attracted to each other, and when two similar parts are connected together, there also arises a field of consciousness that further acts to attract more of that same level of consciousness to that particular group mind. In reality though, it is only ever always love acting to try to bring you back again to love.

This is the master mind alliance that Napoleon Hill the author of the best selling book, "Think and grow rich" talks about, and it is really only a manifestation of the law of attraction. This is one of the reasons why Jesus had disciples. It made for a stronger force of attractive like minded consciousness to be moved through the area in which he operated, and so he was able to attract all of those who were ready to come now towards his group.

Jesus himself said that he came to call only the ones that he himself had chosen as his own. These are the ones that are ready and those who had now recognised him as the master who could reconnect them to God and to their own true selves.

The bible confirms all of this in the book of John 10: 25 to 30, in which it says this,

"Jesus answered them, I did tell you, but you do not believe. The miracles I do in my Father's name speak for me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one."

We are attracted to our own particular master or shepherd in this way.

Jesus was simply saying that love respects the giver and the recipient as well, enough to know that an understanding of love is only ever grown from loving. A master loves his own and his own must first recognise him, and then raise themselves up enough to love him and so learn to grow into themselves as themselves.

A master attracts the real person from out of the midst of their ego's grasp, and so separates us from our false self, and regenerates our true sense of being of who we really are.

The law of attraction complements the bible rather than contradicting it, but it must still be kept in its rightful place as subordinate to the law of love, and to God's higher kingdom of heaven as well. When we love sufficiently fully, we attract all that we will ever require.

We should not worry about following any law of attraction too much then, or even worry about any other laws at all. We just need to be aware of its presence and of its operation within our lives. This increases our awareness of how things really all operate within love.

We should first spend all of our energy loving and injecting love into all of our experiences. In this way, when we love first, by following this great first law of love, all other laws are then naturally being followed, and all else then naturally takes care of itself for us, and for all else with the perfection of the oneness that we too, are always a part of.

Mathew 21:22 states the law of attraction rather nicely in this way:

"If you believe, you will receive whatever manor of things you ask for in prayer."

Love brings to you all that you will ever need, but you need to recognise these needs within love. Experiences with love bring you to a better understanding of its role. Love is the great oneness that attracts all to itself, and then gives all of itself right back again, as soon as it is asked for. Asking is merely a way of you knowing your level of conscious awareness within the full knowledge that is possible when love opens you up to yourself.

The bible refers to attracting to you all that is due to you. This refers to developing an attitude of not wanting anything else by thinking now that there is something else that you don't already have. We should move towards remaining humble in that we are prepared to accept our self as we are first by accepting our part within the kingdom of God.

When you are yourself within God, nothing is missing and yet all is attracted to you then, even as it is really now already so. It is only ever your own attitude that turns your eyes away from not seeing what is always infinitely available before you right now.

"Ask and it shall be given", simply means to recognise that this immediate access to all things has already been granted to you from God's gift of freedom being always laced together with his love.

The greatest truth that we can grasp is that nothing can ever contradict the truth of the bible. Truth can never contradict itself. There is nothing greater than truth.

The Law of Attraction never contradicts the bible. It just helps to explain it for us, so that we can better understand it, and then afterwards to better see the way that love works through its manifestations, and which is only ever really through us.

The law of attraction says that we create our own Universe. To me this should be more that we create our own love, as we go along. It is always only our attitude, and that is based on our current level of understanding and awareness, that determines how much love it is that we do see. This is of course is our present level of consciousness.

We must remember that suppressed love is love that is still being kept within your heart, but that at your mind's present level of awareness, you are still afraid of living from that much love. You need to expand your level of consciousness to match this level of love. You can never do this by thinking it to be so. You must always start with faith. Faith is the lift or stairway that takes you towards higher consciousness.

The more love that we come to see, the greater also will become our Universe. What we resist seeing for now will always of course persist for us, and in fact more of it will be attracted to us within our own little Universe.

When we are totally loving, we have no little Universe of our own anymore. We return to being only then ourselves within the oneness of all else. There is no more separation, and nothing left anymore for us to attract to distract us anymore from love.

Interesting. Sometimes I think the law of attraction is over the top. But I have an article that I want you to respond to. It's called "Law of Attraction Gone Wrong: I'm Attracting My Desires To Someone Else! Help!" http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5631476/law_of_attraction_gone_wrong_im_attracting.html?cat=3

Great article! I agree with you that is is the only way the Law of Attraction it is to be used. That is why people are disappointed thinking that it does not work, but it works if it's used with the purpose for what it's intended. With God all things are possible!

Nice little article found it by "mistake" (or not really) and really liked your links to the bible. "Conversations with God"- Neale Donald Walsch puts it that your love of things will bring these things into your life.
He suggests practicing saying the following 10 times a day:
    I love money
    I love me
    I love God
    I love power
    I love sucess

and then goes onto say, that love yourself, so you have more love to give. Love money so you have more to share. Love power within not power over. Love these things and loveall of life in order that you become more and have more to give. And them Beatles were right
"All you need is love-dum-dum-da da daaa"

Stephen, I should bookmark this & come back to it. You've put a lot of work, Bible study & prayer into it, it appears to me. Very fine labor of love here. I am still going over the content as it is so comprehensive in nature. I like the idea that the universe and its laws do not contradict the Bible. You're spot on with this friend & my compliments to your great work here. What an effort. I appreciate it very much. Take care & blessings to you for this wonderful piece of work that is a deep universe within itself. : - )
