How to Lead People to Jesus

As Christians, we have a strong desire to bring people into the same Faith as we have. Even more than a Buddhist would want someone to be Buddhist, or a Muslim would want to bring in people to the religion of Islam, Christians want to bring everyone they come in contact with in to know our God because He is alive and He tells us so often that He loves us. He also promises Christians to be saved from eternal hell and to continue to be with Him in heaven for eternity.

We want everyone to know the Love of our Father gives, so then we look to share with the unbelievers, who are first on our mind. The thing is that our Jesus is a gentleman of Honor and He will not force Himself upon anyone, ever. So if Jesus is not going to push or impose Himself onto anyone, then we must be led to open our hearts and choose to let Him into our lives. In the book of Deuteronomy God comes out and says, "I lay before you Life and Death." (and then because we are somewhat stubborn) He says, "Choose Life."

So what needs to be done by the Christian who is leading a friend or relative, or even a stranger is to tell them enough so that they can open their heart to what they can believe. The Holy Spirit will do the rest if they've been made receptive, not defensive, to the Love and Life that the Father God has for His children. There is no other religion or god that says they love their followers and has a wonderful plan for their life. To those who are in a depression or a crisis of some sort, this could be all they need to hear..........words that they are not alone and there is a future for them.

If you have a kind and loving relationship with someone who does not believe, that could be enough for them to open their own heart to Jesus when you explain to them how He lived on this Earth, died here on the cross, but then He rose again from the dead to Life. What He did was to break through the powers of death on our behalf so that when we died, our spirit would go to heaven and live for eternity. The alternative is to kick up and do whatever you want here in your short life on Earth, and then when you die, you truly will wish you had died, but you will go forever into hell. Wow what an easy choice when it is simply put like this. Our God is a God of forever and He just lets us live here on Earth for a short time - we live in His Kingdom Forever in Eternity or in Sheol for Eternity. It is our choice.

So once you have the person open to what would make him a believer you can tell them that we can say just one simple prayer and He can make the decision for God will come to live with him.

"Do you know if you were to die this very moment, if you would go to heaven?
Let me quickly read what the Holy Bible reads. It reads for all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God and the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (name) if you would like to receive the free gift that God has for you today, say this with me with your heart and with your lips out loud. "Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Forgive me of my sin. Wash me and cleanse me. Set me free, Jesus, Thank you that you died for me. I believe that You are risen from the dead and that you're coming back for me. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Give me a passion for the lost, a hunger for the things of God and a holy boldness to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm saved. Now ask them again, "If they were to die today, do they know where you'd go?" The right answer is "to heaven, because I have Jesus in my heart!" Then rejoice with them for the love and joy that has entered their heart. Introduce the Bible to them so that they can begin to read for themselves the Truths that are to be found. This acceptance is NOT a religious experience. It is a spiritual transformation for a relationship with God through Jesus.

Now this person has successfully come into the Kingdom of God and is a born-again believer. This is so awesome for God's Holy Spirit to come into our human earthly body. This is the greatest miracle there is and Father God made it so simple. So go tell the people about Jesus.
