How to Get Lean Muscle: How to Lose Fat by Sitting Down and Watching TV

Johnson Kee
It's impossible. You have to be superhuman to sit down in front of your TV and lose fat at the same time. Imagine... watching "Days Of Our Lives" and having a six-pack miraculously grow on your stomach! Of course, I'm exaggerating this just a little bit, in case you couldn't tell. Jokes aside, you can decrease your body fat percentage while sitting down and watching TV. It just depends on what you do before hand.

Yes, there is a catch and yes, it does involve exercise. *groans* Sorry, but you can't get anything for nothing. If you want to have that lean, muscular body, you've got to work out! Work out is a very vague term, but. Weight lifters work out. So do mothers who want to maintain their physique after having a baby. No matter what kind of work out they do, there is usually one thing they want to do: lose fat.

Notice I didn't say lose weight. Losing weight is detrimental to your health, since it usually involves a decrease in muscular density. It leaves you weaker and it's much harder to get back the muscle you lost. Losing fat is the way to go, since most people have an excess in fat. I must warn readers that this article is probably more geared towards males, especially those who lift weights and you'll see why in a minute.

To lose fat, you only have to keep one thing in mind: the energy you take in has to be less than the energy you take out. Simple as that. However, there are inefficient and efficient ways of doing this. Many experienced trainers and weightlifters all around the world believe that aerobic exercise (the kind of exercise that leaves you puffed out), such as cardio is the most effective way to lose fat. Fat you do lose, but you also lose muscular mass as well, during the exercise. Ideally, you want to be able to keep your muscle, lose fat and lose fat long after the workout's finished. Weight lifting is the key!

Many men know that weight lifting with heavy weight at a high intensity will help you build lean muscle. That's straight forward. However, not many men know that weight lifting in a different way will help you burn fat at the same time. We recall that to burn fat you need to be in an energy deficit, constantly losing energy. Lifting weights burns a lot of energy and lifting in a certain manner can drastically speed up your metabolism which will make your body turn to fat storages instead of muscle for sustenance. In some cases, men can lose fat for a WHOLE DAY after their workout, simply because of how efficiently they lifted weights.

So that's how you can sit in front of the TV and lose fat. Just be in energy deficit from lifting weights!
