Age

Age is expressed by the phrase "Tener _________ años." The conjugation of tener is below.

Tener

yo (I) - tengo

tú (informal you) - tienes

El, Ella, Ud. (He, She, Formal You) - tiene

nosotros (We) - tenemos

Ellos, Ellas, Uds. (Them, formal you) - tienen

If someone wanted to say that they were 20 years old, they would say, "Tengo veinte años."

If someone wanted to say you were 32 years old, they would say, "Tienes treinta y dos años."

If a group of friends wanted to say they were 35 years old, they would say, "Tenemos treinta y cinco años."

If someone wanted to say the age of their daughter, they would say, "Tiene diez años."

If someone wanted to tell a group of people their age is 39, they would say, "Tienen treinta y nueve años."

Number 100-2 million

Below are the numbers 100 - 2 million.

100 - cien, ciento

200 - doscientos

300 - trescientos

400 - cuatroscientos

500 - quinientos

600 - seiscientos

The numbers 200-999 follow the pattern ____________ientos(as) + number. The number must modify the noun. A few examples are listed below.

1,000-2,000,000

Mil equals one thousand, and millón is equal to one million. When followed by a noun, millón (millones) must be followed by "de" or of in English. Some examples are shown below.

14.000.000 de casas - catorce millones de casas
