How to Make Legitimate Money on the Internet

Chris Collins
There are many legitimate ways to make money on the internet. A useful percentage is more than ten times the amount of scams out there. One way to know without a doubt if the money you are promised seems to easy, then it is probably a scam. However, easy money sites do exist. The problem that arises from some of these sites is you sacrifice your privacy and endanger yourself to turn a dollar. Plus they require boring and repetitive forms to be filled out. As you read, special attention should be paid as I provide information on great ways to make money. I also will expose many ways that could be of possible damage to your identity and time.

A good rule of thumb to follow: If the money you are promised seems too easy it is probably not. Most of these internet scams are based on referrals, sign-ups and frankly the people paying you make money by selling your information. This information is readily bought by telemarketers and could be subject to identity theft. A common scam that is used is based on pyramid marketing schemes in some form or another. Usually you can make some small amount of money by completing some task; filling out forms, clicking email links, viewing ads and completing offers. However you are made to know you can make so much more money by the amount of people you refer. As the people under you refer people you will also get a percentage, then as the people under them and so on.

Whether legitimate or not you are pimping out your privacy and at the same time sacrificing many other people's privacy. Another common scam, that you might make money on but often do not, is when you have to pay upfront money. They usually have wonderful introductions, they may go like this:

Hi I joined "insert company name", "insert time" years ago. Since joining I have earned "x" amount of dollars (usually some large amount). I can offer this information to you, but first I need you to send "x" amount of dollars (always in the form of 9.95, 19.95, 14.95 ECT. ECT. ECT.). Then I will forward you all the information and you can begin your new life making a lot of money.

These very well may be legitimate avenues of making money. The best thing to do is research many people who have joined and contact them. Knowledge is power, and with the amount of con artists out there you need all the power you can gain. It is important to note that having a web page, signing up for an email address and forging information is very simple.

Since we have the discouraging process out of the way, let's talk about some wonderful ways of making money. EBay is a wonderful market place where people use it as a hobby or a business. You have the ability to sell items for sometimes wonderful profits. Along with EBay there are many other above board market places on the internet where you can sell products.

By starting your own Blog you can gain much exposure to your viewpoints, feelings and reviews. Google has launched a wonderful campaign called Google Ad Sense. By placing these ads on your Blog or webpage you can make money just by having people view your web page or clicking links.

Many realistic jobs exist where you can work from your home over the internet. It is always the best idea to review these companies and even talk to a real person if you are interested. As a writer I have been able to benefit from meeting many positive places that normally always pay. Article writing for money is a common generator of money. If you enjoy writing, this can pay pretty well for a hobby or career. Associated Content is a great place to start write, bring exposure to your site, and get paid in the process.

The internet is used by people all over the world. There are many legitimate resources you can make money. There are also many ways that you can be taken for granted. Do not be discouraged, with research you too can find a way to make money.
