How to Level Up a Shaman in World of Warcraft

Primarily, Shaman are a lot easier to level than they were in World of Warcraft launch. My god, Shaman were soooooo bad when World of Warcraft first came out. Luckily, Blizzard decided to make them WORTH leveling. Let's run over the general idea of leveling up a shaman as fast as possible in WoW and get right down to the point.

1) When leveling up a Shaman, always specialize in Enhancement until you reach the maximum level. Why? Well since you asked so nicely, I'll tell you. You don't have to use mana to fight. Ok, well you have to use a little for shocks and stuff, but not like spamming lightning bolt. This is very very important because the more mana you save while fighting in melee (enhancement), the more mana you have left over AFTER the battle to heal yourself up with and continue fighting. I've written other guides for other classes and this is one general statement that blankets all classes:

"The more life you have after a fight, the more efficient you'll level" If that's not true, I don't know what is. Now, on to my next point:

2) Do you know what your most efficient damage spell is as a Shaman? Shock? nope. Lighting Bolt? nope. Chain Lightning? Super nope. The most efficient spell you have in your arsenal as a Shaman (most damage for mana cost) is Lightning Shield. That's right. That little spell that doesn't do much damage is your most EFFICIENT spell. Use it at all times and when it wears off, put it back on. Doing damage with Lightning Shield instead of Shock spamming or lightning spamming means you have more mana at the end of the fight! tadaa! that mana is used for healing!

3) Always use Ghost wolf while running. This is kindof a given, but if you want to level as fast as possible, use Ghostwolf in town, in the city, while running from mob to mob, while running to turn in quests, etc. Use it at all times. you have been bless with this travel form my friends! Use it!

4) Resist the temptation to group at low levels. This happens a lot. People get bored and they start grouping for quests. If the other person you're playing with isn't as fast as you at leveling, THEY WILL SLOW YOU DOWN. Be the desperado, use ghost wolf, use lightning shield, and specialize in Enhancement, and you'll be well on your way to leveling much faster!
