Of course this depends greatly on the case and the crime that has been committed. It also has a lot to do with the age of your child. In situations where parents willing help children to get the items than can cause harm to others, there is really no doubt in anyone's mind that they should be liable. Even if your child does something illegal online you can then be sued for their actions. Of course the reason why so many people feel that the parents are responsible is simply because they should be teaching their children the difference between right and wrong. Of course parents everywhere will be quick to argue the fact that you can not control everything that your child does regardless of what you may teach them. It can be especially trying for parents during the teenage years. Many parents find it difficult to keep an eye on their children at all times especially when they could be getting into trouble at school without their knowledge.
Unfortunately despite the many challenges that come along with parenting, being liable for any crime that your child may commit is also something that comes along with having children. Today we happen to live in a society where more and more children seem to be completely out of control. The bottom line is that it is ultimately the parents responsibility and many parents agree that any child who commits a crime should be held accountable along with their parents. Many officials are not taking any excuses from parents, nowadays. If you speak with some of the lawyers who see cases like this on a regular basis they will be quick to tell you that the parents just did not take the time to really pay attention to what their children were doing, and in some cases the parents just let their children run wild. So if you have young children it is very important that you start now training them properly and making preparations early so that you will be able to be involved in their life and do your best to know where they are at all times. OF course this is no guarantee but many parents have found that just being involved into heir child's life has been effective enough in keeping their kids out of trouble.
